Poyter is a brand that is empowered by highly skilled but less fortunate craftsmen from underdeveloped countries. We empower these less fortunate but talented artisans to create a pair of shoes to increase their standard of living and self-esteem. Poyter always strives to take part in social and corporate responsibilities as a brand and as a company. We do not exploit labor rights for the people who work in our shoe supply chain. We try to participate in local community programmes to identify opportunities to help deserving people in need by giving charity and doing physical involvement.

We believe in using the best, so our company uses leather sourced internationally and locally. With the outstanding blend of British designs and local talent, we have established ourselves as one of the leading pioneers for made-to-measure shoes. As a company, we aim to provide the hidden, highly skilled artisan shoemakers with a means to showcase their talents and connect to international consumers who seek quality handcrafted leather shoes at an affordable cost.

The traditional handicraft of shoemaking has unfortunately now mainly been superseded by high volume industrial mass production. However, the demand for custom shoes is growing! There is competition from the more prominent companies. Still, we are determined to face the more giant corporations and stand our ground to keep creating top quality and long-lasting, quality footwear.

When purchasing products, it is essential to consider the quality, from the materials used to its crafted. By purchasing from Poyter, you will receive ultimate satisfaction; all of our footwear is made to measure, meaning each pair of shoes will be a perfect fit! The shoes that we create are largely hand-stitched and hand-finished, with excellent attention to detail. We are true believers of greener economy and utilize 70% less machinery in our shoe production as compared to other footwear brands, thus reducing carbon footprints. We also take the time and provide exceptional care for each part of the shoe. The result is a high-quality shoe that is durable and reliable.

Unlike obtaining a pair of mass-produced shoes from a large corporate company, buying from us supports a small business and real people behind us. There are many benefits to shopping small, including the environmental impact. Because we are a company that cares about the planet and our customers, we produce handcrafted products that are friendly to the Earth’s resources. Handmade products are more eco-friendly because the products are made mostly by hand, and they require far less energy than an assembly line that would be used for mass production. Another benefit is that the products can be produced in a smaller studio and do not call for a large production facility. Poyter is not a mass production company. We do not hold a large product stock, as most of our orders are bespoke/customized for each client. Our products are not sold by any third-party resellers or High Street retailers and can only be purchased directly from our online stores.
